Transportation Logistics Coordinator

$29/hr  

A full-time permanent position: Transportation Logistics Coordinator is needed for a freight forwarding company in Mississauga Ontario

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time (30hr/week), Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle international Ocean shipments, both imports and exports, from origin to destination
• Review and process all customs documents for international shipments
• Coordinate between customs brokers, customers and carriers for timely customs release and delivery
• Dispatch shipments from customs division and liaison between the carrier and the customer
• Manage trucking shipments from overseas agents
• Track shipment status and provide updates to customers
• Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
• Provide customer service to customers with regards to inquiries, disputes, and other issues.
• Prepare client invoices and all required support documents
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Completion of a post-secondary education program of less than two years in Business or Supply Chain Management or extensive experience as a dispatcher, production clerk or scheduling clerk
• An asset: Work experience as a transportation logistics coordinator is an asset
• Language: English
