Position/Job Title: General Laborer (NOC 75110)

Description: General Laborers assist skilled tradespersons and perform laboring activities at construction sites.

Job Location: Chilliwack, BC

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience: Not required, will train.

Number of openings: 5

Position: Permanent – Full Time

Wage: $23/hr.

Language: Not required

Job Duties:

• Load and unload materials and move materials to work areas.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades required at construction sites.
• Assist tradespersons, heavy equipment operators and signal operators to perform laboring activities at construction sites.
• Mix, pour, remove construction materials, and level earth to fine grade specifications as well as remove rubble and debris using rake, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
• Assist in demolishing buildings and feed machines or equipment used in construction.
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites and keep the area clean/hazard free.
