Job Description

0888421 BC LTD dba Okanagan Falls Esso, 1009 Main Street Okanagan Falls BC V0H 1R0 is hiring 1 full time/permanent Retail Store Manager for their store.

The start date is as soon as possible. The wage rate will be $30.00 per hour for 35 hours a week.

Job Duties

• Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of 0888421 BC LTD dba Okanagan Falls Esso.

• Manage station, store, staff and assign duties.

• Work with vendors to bring in effective marketing displays for the sales floor and store windows.

• Daily cash management, cash balancing, cash floats, safe floats, change orders and bank deposits

• Daily, Weekly, Monthly paperwork to all be in order and appropriate reports be sent to director

• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales.

• Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies.

• Maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so

• Source and negotiate with wholesalers and/or contractors when necessary

• Oversee financial management, including planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, and monitoring revenues

• Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues if necessary

• Ensuring that all stock is represented in good condition on our sales floors

• Adhering to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties. Strictly enforcing the safety procedures regarding COVID-19 pandemic

• Resolve customer complaints.

• Determine staffing requirements and hire or oversee hiring of staff.

• Maintain inventory by implementing purchasing plans and staying in contact with vendors and shippers.

Skills Required

Completion of secondary school is required. A university degree or college diploma in business administration will be an asset.

2-3 years of related retail sales experience with at least 1 year of experience at increasing levels such as supervisory role are required.

Excellent communication skills in English is required.

Benefits

As per BC Employment Standards Act. 4% vacation pay will be paid each pay period.
