Job Description
Pinnacle Propane Services Ltd. is looking for 1 Truck Driver for full time permanent position in the company. Following is the job description and requirements for the position
Salary: $34.62/hour for 30 hours/week
Experience: At least 1 year of experience
Job Description:
- Operate and drive, Pinnacle Propane Services trucks to transport goods and materials over local, and short distances
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety procedures;
- Pay and receive payments for goods;
- Load and unload goods;
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch;
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials;
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo;
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption;
- Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers using available devices and computers
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
- Professionalism in customer service
- Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
- Load and unload goods

- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Prepare reports for senior management
- Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Plan for changes to schedules and policies
- Train staff
- Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods
- Ensure transport compliance with regulations
- Evaluate daily operations
