Job location: Various locations due to the nature of the job
Salary: $24.00 per hour and $36.00 per hour overtime rate, after 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible
Minimum Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Language: English
Work Environment: On-site, Outdoors, Noisy, Dusty, At Heights
Experience:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction or related field.
Job Duties:
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
- Assist in operating cranes and other construction equipment.
- Clean and lubricate machinery as needed.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications.
- Assist in demolishing buildings and cleaning up debris.
- Pile salvaged materials and remove rubble from construction sites.
- Tend or feed machines used in construction.
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities:
- Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Physically demanding work (lifting up to 45 kg / 100 lbs).
- Exposure to heights, dust, and outdoor weather conditions.
