Outdoor Power Equipment Technician

Wage: $24.50 / hour (salary increases as per company policy)  

Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Job requirements:

Language: BasicEnglish

Education:  High school or college courses in small engine equipment repair or related courses

Experience: 2 years of related experience (an apprenticeship program in small engines or equipment repair may be considered in lieu of experience).

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods

Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Reliability, Team player

Work setting/area of work: Golf course

Work site environment: Outdoors

Duties:

• Reel sharpening and tuning of mowing heads
• Checking height on mowing units
• General daily maintenance of equipment such as greasing, checking filters and fluid levels
• Minor repair/parts replacement when needed
• Maintenance of all small equipment from trimmers, push mowers, sod cutters, turbine blowers, greens rollers, and golf carts
• Occasionally assist with cultural practices such as topdressing, aeration, or soil remediation (including seeding)
