Position: Physiotherapist (NOC 31202)

Vacancies: 1

Wage: $ 45.10 per hour for 40 hours per week

             Overtime @ $ 67.65 after 44 hours per week

Term: Full-time and permanent

Education Requirements: Master’s degree in Physiotherapy.

Experience: Will train.

Language Requirements: English

Job duties:

• Assess clients' physical abilities through evaluative procedures such as functional ability tests and make a physiotherapy diagnosis
• Examine the patient
• Make decisions on tests and procedures and establish treatment goals with patients based on diagnoses
• Develop, plan and implement physiotherapy treatment programs including therapeutic exercise, manipulations, massage, education, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy and other modalities
• Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and modify accordingly and provide advice on exercise and strategies to implement at home to enhance and or maintain treatment
• Maintain clinical and progress reports
• Confer with other health professionals regarding clients' problems, needs and progress
• Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients
• Maintain clinical and statistical records and confer with other health care professionals
• Delegate treatment and supervision of physiotherapy assistants

Employment requirements:

• A licence or registration with a regulatory body in Ontario
• Delegate treatment and supervision of physiotherapy assistants
• Completion of a physiotherapist competency examination
