Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise, plan, assign, and review the work of clerks engaged in shipping, receiving, storing and distribution.
Supervise and train shipping clerks and other team members in the shipping department.
Conduct performance reviews of supervised workers as needed.
Resolve problems and complaints, implement corrective measures and process improvements.
Schedule and coordinate with carriers to ensure the timely delivery of products.
Prepare and maintain shipping documents
Track inventory and monitor stock levels of finished products.
Communicate with other departments to ensure the availability of products for shipment.
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair work as needed.
Train workers in job duties and requisition supplies and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.

Employment requirements

Completion of secondary school is required but having post-secondary education in business, supply chain, production or manufacturing management and related is an asset.
1 or more years of experience is required
