Established in 1998 at Etobicoke in Ontario, Canada, Choy Foong International Trading Company Inc. has developed into a gigantic supplier serving over 2,000 groceries, restaurants, wholesalers, convenience stores, and supermarkets in Eastern Canada, mainly in the province of Ontario and Quebec. We supply groceries, rice, food, snacks, sauce, and daily commodities from Asia countries, including China, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnamese etc. We have wide connections with local manufacturers to ensure premium quality products for our Canadian customers.
Purchasing Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and evaluate daily operations of the company’s purchasing activities;
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures;
- Plan and control the budget and expenditures;
- Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments across the organization;
- Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies;
- Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods and services;
- Participate in the development of specifications for products;
- Identify vendors and suppliers, review and process claims against suppliers;
- Negotiate and manage purchase contracts;
- Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy;
- Higher, train, direct, and motivate staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, or economics is required.
- At least 5 years of experience as a purchasing agent/officer or Manager within the international trade industry is required.
- Knowledge of international trade, supply-chain management, logistics, and warehousing is an asset.

- Salary: $72 per hour
- Hour: 30 hours per week
