Responsibilities
Tasks
- Supervise cutting and sewing operations for upholstery production to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Interpret design specifications and delegate tasks to sewing and cutting staff.
- Inspect incoming materials and fabrics for quality and suitability.
- Measure and cut upholstery materials with precision using industrial tools.
- Oversee stitching, trimming, and pattern alignment to maintain design integrity.
- Train and mentor team members in cutting and sewing techniques and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory of fabrics, threads, and tools, and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with designers and production managers to meet custom order requirements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished upholstery products before final assembly.
