Position Title: Information technology (IT) support technician (NOC22221)
Permanent Full time position
Salary range: $60,060- $75,000.00
Schedule: Fulltime, based on a 30-40-hour work week
Work location: In-person, Vancouver
Report to: Chief of Staff
Department: Information Technology

Tasks and Responsibilities
General Duties for this role include the following:
- End-User Support & Help Desk Management:
- Maintain a responsive help desk system through ticketing, phone call support, in person support, remote access support and site visits to connected agencies as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems related to users and network connectivity.
- On board and off-board staff regarding equipment and system access, training and compliance with information system and data safety guidelines.
- Communicate with users who are having trouble both in person and virtually to identify and document issues.
- Assist users with business systems, network, and internet-related issues by providing necessary support based on identified problems.
- Contribute to the redesign of applications and other software.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users on software and hardware issues.
- Resource for end users for the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, CRM, Zoom, and all system software.
- Infrastructure Maintenance & Security:
- Maintain IT infrastructure of JFGV by working collaboratively with external service providers to sustain current structure and implement new initiatives.
- Work with the chief of staff to develop IT policies that ensure safety and security of information systems especially around Cybersecurity and system maintenance.
- Maintain in-house server hosting information processing systems, security systems and all other systems that are server reliant.
- Training & Compliance:
- Training of staff to ensure adherence and compliance with Information system procedures and policies.
- Ensure all staff comply with security protocols and IT policies.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain the inventory of all IT assets including (onboarding/offboarding).
- Hardware & Software Configuration:
- Configure, test, and install PC hardware, software, operating systems and peripherals.
- Provide support for the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, CRM, Zoom, and all other system software used by the organization.
- Project Support & Migration:
- Collaborate with service providers and consultants on data and system migrations, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.

- General IT Duties:
- Support Chief of Staff as needed on IT-related tasks and projects.
- Ensure proper maintenance of systems, monitoring of IT infrastructure, and continual improvement of IT practices.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Completion of a college program in Computer Science or Computer Information System, or Network Administration is usually required.
- Expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications in a Microsoft environment.
- Knowledge of IP network concepts, administration, and security
- Broad knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
- Analytical skills to study problems and identify solutions.
- Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
- Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods, etc. to lift and maneuver computer equipment and perform installations.
