Position Available: Truck Mechanic (NOC 72410)
Wages: $37.00 hourly for 40 hours per week. 4% vacation pay.
Overtime rate of $55.50 per hour after 40 hours per week.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Minimum Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Job Responsibilities:
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit
- Discuss work with the supervisor
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect the motor in operation
- Review work orders
- Test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to the manufacturer's specifications
- Estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Coach and instruct apprentices
- Provide customer service

Transportation/travel information
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 is an asset)
