Job Description:

Armstrong Montessori Academy is seeking dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join our team. The successful candidate will support early childhood educators in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children that promotes their emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist early childhood educators in developing and implementing programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Provide daily support to children during meals, rest time, and playtime, encouraging independence and positive behavior.
• Assist in preparing learning materials, organizing classrooms, and tidying play areas.
• Observe children’s behavior and development and share observations with Early childhood educators.
• Support children with dressing, hygiene routines, and toilet training in a nurturing manner.
• Follow established safety and hygiene procedures to maintain a clean and secure learning environment.
• Participate in regular team discussions to help improve program quality and address children’s individual needs.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) certificate in British Columbia.
• Minimum 6 months of experience working with young children in an educational or care setting.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
